Marietta Contadino, a Greenwich native, started to sew at the age of nine. Following her dream of making women look beautiful and feel glamorous, she graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology, with the prestigious New York Pret and the Lee Iacocca Award of Excellence. In addition, she exhibited her designs at the Louvre Museum in Paris.

Designing passionately on Seventh Avenue for over twenty-five years, she established Marietta C. in 1997. Marietta has become successful in the special-occasion, evening-wear market because of her unique, timeless designs with "a twist." Couture details are a signature of Marietta's elegant and feminine collection of gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, graduation and bridal gowns. Her creations include rich colors, luxurious European fabrics and glittering embroideries made with Swarovski elements and shimmering French laces.

Serving Greenwich since 2000, Marietta offers ready-to-wear and custom clothing at her Greenwich boutique. Her couture collections are sold in specialty stores across the country. All styles are cut to order, customized to enhance each client's figure, and crafted by European artisans at her ateliers in Greenwich and New York. The designer has a loyal clientele of prominent women in business and entertainment. Marietta personally oversees every aspect of her client's wardrobe, from initial sketches through final creation, thereby making each individual client truly glamorous.
